My room smells of mouldy washing...

Tuesday, October 28, 2003

My room smells of mouldy washing because there is mouldy washing in the corner. It is mouldy because I forgot that it was there for about ten days. Soon, I will wash it again, and hopefully it will stop smelling mouldy.

I've been out of circulation - see how short the scroll bar is this month? Compare it to June. I'm feeling quite tired. I got up unnaturally early this morning due to an unnaturally unfortunate unsequence of events. At 8.20am, a dog started barking outside a neighbour's door. It continued for thirty minutes; it seems it couldn't get in. Its soliliquy went thus: bark, bark, whimper, pause, bark, bark, whimper pause, etc., ad thirty minutesum. I was so wide awake that its barks began to sound like human voices, and then other animals. Then I started to believe that it could actually be a person, come for an appointment with that prostitute who lives across the street, perhaps. Then it went, and I went back to sleep. About twenty minutes later I was woken up by someone in our adjacent terraced house drilling into the wall. I went back to sleep. Then one of my housemates shouted to another of my housemates that there was a phone call for him. I woke up again. Then I stayed awake. I am still awake.

MG is kicking his radiator, and now there are too many people in my room to continue with this.
