Brief Update

So Gillian Weir came to Leicester to do a recital yesterday. The playing was faultless, but I couldn't help finding it unexciting. I'd rather listen to someone with some flamboyance and flair rather than the drab technical perfection of The Dame. Nevertheless, needless to say, her playing is leagues and scores superior to anything I could dream of performing. I'm shooting off to Walsingham tomorrow, a strange trip, you might think, for an agnostic. I will undertake some profane sociology as I survey the windows of Catholic Tat shops. I promise this website still has its telos. It is still in the oven; it is, indeed, half-baked.
