Sad news that Mo Mowlam is critically ill today. Given her past infirmities, I suppose we have to be sceptical about the prospects of recovery. She has, deserverdly, one of the best public reputations in politics, and I have always appreciated the dignity that she has maintained in reserving judgement and comment on elements of the New Labour project — particularly since 2001 — which I'm sure she was far from consonant with. Long live Mo!
