- Junk food to be banned in schools: as usual, the government considers legislation and coercion to be superior to liberty. What will banning bad food do to educate children about how to eat well? The responsibility is with governors, teachers and parents, not with government. Make the resources available, and make these groups of authority figures responsible and accountable. Banning "bad" things only encourages an indifferent attitude towards them, since there is thus no agency involved, and therefore no value.
